Announcement about the opening of the cathedral

From Saturday, June 4, all believers are invited to the cathedral every week. We thank all parishioners for understanding and following the special rules during the pandemic.

Please observe the following rules while praying in the cathedral.

At this time, the cathedral is open only to Orthodox believers and those preparing for the Sacrament of Baptism.

Those who wish to pray in the cathedral must bring their own mask and wear it at all times throughout the cathedral. In addition, when you enter the building, please follow the instructions of the cathedral staff regarding (1) measurement of body temperature and (2) disinfection of hands.

If you have forgotten your mask, please contact the cathedral staff.

Notes for commemoration are accepted as usual, but prosphora and notes themselves will not be returned.

For tourists, the cathedral is open only from 13:00 to 16:00 every Saturday and Sunday.

The Divine Liturgy on Sunday starts at 10:00 am (the reading of the Hours starts at 9:40 am).

Please refrain from any private conversations during worship.

Please refrain from kissing icons, relics, and the hands of bishops and priests.

When buying candles, take the required amount yourself.

Please do not move the chairs and take the position in the cathedral according to the markings on the floor.

While reading the Creed and the Lord’s Prayer, please pray quietly without removing your masks.

Please refrain from prostrations.

If you touch the floor, clean your hands immediately with a disinfectant solution.

Do not kneel before Communion, replace it with a deep bow.

Open your mouth wide when receiving Holy Communion.

After Communion, we ask you not to linger for a long time near the tables with bread and water.

Please do not line up for blessings as the bishop enters or exits.

We ask you to always strictly follow any instructions of the cathedral staff. There is currently no meal after worship. Thank you for the understanding.
